At Heart of West Michigan United Way, we’re pursuing a vision of a thriving community for all.

We reduce the burdens of poverty in West Michigan by intervening in crisis, mobilizing communities to action, and empowering people to build toward self-sufficiency.

Each of us can make a difference for a neighbor–but when we come together, we can make change for all.

Without a proper system of support — a network that can help meet needs while investing in the future of families — ALICE households often face eviction, food insecurity, and the likelihood of developing mental and behavioral health issues.
