Celebrate United: Lighting the Way

On a beautiful evening at the John Ball Zoo, we gathered for Celebrate United: Lighting the Way, an unforgettable event that marked a significant milestone for our organization. Donors and supporters from Allegan, Kent, and Ottawa Counties came together to celebrate the unification of our United Ways, symbolizing our collective mission to create lasting, positive change in West Michigan.

Set against the magical backdrop of the Lantern Festival, the evening was filled with energy, connection, and inspiration. Guests explored the glowing lanterns, creating a festive atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of collaboration and unity.

Michelle Van Dyke, our President and CEO, delivered an inspiring message, sharing her vision for the future of United Way in this new chapter. She highlighted the importance of this merger, not only for streamlining resources but for amplifying the impact we can have on the lives of those we serve. Her words were a powerful reminder of the vital work ahead and the strength we draw from our united community.

The event was more than just a celebration—it was a chance for donors, partners, and volunteers from across the three counties to connect, network, and reflect on the work we've already accomplished together. With shared values and a deep commitment to helping individuals and families thrive, this coming together marks the beginning of an exciting new era.

A special thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success! From the vibrant Lantern Festival experience to the thought-provoking conversations sparked throughout the night, Celebrate United was truly a night to remember. We look forward to continuing this journey with all of you as we light the way for a brighter future in West Michigan.
