A THRIVING COMMUNITY FOR ALL
Poverty is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted solution.
Heart of West Michigan United Way is deeply rooted in local community and invests in understanding the complex needs of the people we serve. We understand that poverty is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted solution. That’s why we take a comprehensive approach to tackle the various factors that contribute to economic hardship in a person's life. We acknowledge that addressing one issue often requires addressing others to create sustainable change in a person or family's life.
Maintaining a Network of Support
By connecting individuals and families in under resourced neighborhoods with local assistance programs and investing in solutions to reduce poverty at the root cause, we are alleviating the ongoing burden of poverty and helping our neighbors build toward self-sufficiency.
Connecting People to the Services They Need
United Way's 2-1-1 connects people to thousands of services in our community. Services include food, shelter, utility assistance, disaster recovery, childcare, transportation, and so much more. Whoever you are, whatever your needs, 2-1-1 makes it easy to find help for yourself, a neighbor, or a loved one.
