HELP STUFF THE Sled AND UNWRAP SMILES

Today is Giving Tuesday! As you may know, Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to doing good around the world—and we hope you’ll support  Stuff the Sled in that spirit.

Our annual Stuff the Sled (formerly Adopt-A-Family) collection drive is a wonderful opportunity to bring holiday cheer to young children enrolled in programs at Head Start for Kent County.  Head Start students, ages five and younger, come from low-income families who don’t have the means to purchase gifts.

Last year due to the pandemic, Stuff the Sled became a virtual drive. Our community came together to overcome these new challenges and support young students:

468 generous donors | 6,293 gifts purchased | 1,228 Head Start students

This year, we’re continuing to make the drive accessible by creating an online store. That means anyone who would like to get into the giving spirit can participate!

When you purchase items from our wish list or donate a specific dollar amount, you help us provide holiday gift bags to more than 1,500 local Head Start students.

 Each gift bag will include:

This Giving Tuesday, you can help young children unwrap smiles that will last long after the season ends. Visit the Roonga page below to purchase items from the main drive. You can also click “Pick Items for Me” to have Roonga choose items based on how much you’d like to spend.

To give a cash gift to the drive, visit the link below to donate online. We’ll use monetary donations to cover any gaps in items purchased for the drive.

Please help us Stuff the Sled and make the holidays brighter for families in need.
